Returning are two stalwarts of the event in Trevose & St Enodoc. They play host alongside newcomer and a rising star in the World of golf, Point at Polzeath.

The Point replaces Carlyon Bay for this year’s event and ensures all 3 rounds will be played near to the Camel estuary. There are some well traversed holiday destinations around these regions with plenty of places to stay. Padstow, Wadebridge, Newquay, Rock and Polzeath all offer great accommodation options and are well versed in dealing with golfers. We have worked closely with many for the past few years!

(Archive post below from 2016)

Recently the sun has been out and many golfers have been hitting the links.. Perfect.

In a few weeks time Cornwall will be host to one of the biggest PGA events in the South of England; The Cornish Festival.

The flagship PGA in England and Wales (South West) annual event is based at the prestigious Trevose Golf and Country Club, near Padstow, and again features the classic championship links course St Enodoc. Both courses have staged major national tournaments.   This year, the third venue for the 54-hole three-day festival will be the cliff-top Carlyon Bay Golf Club (above) at St Austell which is being included for the first time, in replacement of Newquay Golf Course.

Teams of one professional and three amateurs play at each venue over the three days from April 19-21 while the reception and presentations take place at Trevose.

With many local professionals from around the UK traveling to Cornwall with their amateur playing partners, this is a great chance for Cornwall to showcase its talent.

Here at Golf South West we offer the same tour as these Professionals will be playing. So if you fancy hitting the great links of Cornwall and giving these three magnificent courses a shot, check out our 2017 Cornish Festival package.

We wish all competitors the best of luck in this event… Play well.
