Course overview
The Kigbeare is the feature course at Ashbury, a par-72 6528yrd parkland course that offers a delightful blend of challenging par 3s with some over 200 yards, and a number of testing par 4s and 5s that feature rolling fairways, large undulating greens and well positioned hazards. Mature trees line many of the fairways, putting a premium on accuracy from the tee while the undulating fairways mean that you can gain further distance from the tee with well positioned shots.
A hole of note is the signature 3rd, a 205yrd Par 3 that is visually stunning and is considered by many to be the best hole on the course. The holes drops 50ft from tee to green and the ball must carry 180yrds to clear a brook, you then approach a green surrounded by large trees, with banks rising up to the green. The Kigbeare is a fantastic parkland course that makes great use of the natural features of the land, creating a true test of golf even for the more proficient golfers.
