Ashley Wood Golf Club

The Ashley Wood Golf Club is a warm and friendly 18-hole downland course that was founded in 1896 and is constructed upon the naturally well draining chalk, giving stunning views of the surrounding Dorset countryside.
The Ashley Wood Golf Club is a fantastic, easy to walk downland course, that boasts magnificent views of Salisbury Plain to the north and the Purbeck Hills to the south. The course is kept in fantastic condition all year round, and thanks to the chalk on which it is built, it remains playable in all but the most extreme weather conditions.
The course is a par-70 that stretches a respectable 6300 yards, with 4 of the holes winding their way through Ashley Wood themselves, an ancient woodland filled with bluebells and abundant with bird life. Despite the course being quite short, it offers a challenge to all golfers, with a variety of different holes and a final 5 holes that would challenge golfers of any level. The course also has great clubhouse facilities, with food at reasonable prices and a warm and friendly welcome to anyone that visits!
