Course overview
Bath Golf Club is one of the oldest and finest courses in all of England. Established in 1880, this par-18 course offers a true test for all golfers, with its hilltop location and natural contours. Bath Golf Club, Somerset is an 18 hole, par 71 (6,464 yard) parkland course that is ranked #2 in Somerset. Although the course is not particularly lengthy, the designers certainly knew how to use the natural contours of the hilltop location to create a challenging round of golf.
The course has a variety of different holes laid out over some of the finest golfing country in all of Somerset. Shallow soil and limestone ensure quick draining, meaning the course can be kept in superb condition most of the year-round. The greens at Bath are particularly small and many contain borrows, making putting at this course a quite unique challenge, one that catches out many an overconfident player. Bath Golf Club is a must-visit destination if you plan on playing in Somerset or the South West.
