Course overview
There are 27 holes on-site at Dartmouth Golf Club with the main event being the Championship Par 72, which off the back “Gold” tees runs out at a whopping 7,156 yards!
Much friendly from the shorter tees, the course can be made playable for all standards from either the white, blue or red tees. Set in a superb location in Devon, Dartmouth Golf & Country Club offers fantastic hotel, leisure and golf facilities for both golfers and non-golfers. Designed by Jeremy Pern, Dartmouth is a well-established course that has seen its reputation climb in recent years and now sits inside the top 10 courses in Devon, despite stiff competition.
The 18 hole Championship Course (par 72, 6663 yard) and the 9 hole Dartmouth Course (par 33, 2252 yard) tend to play well all year with well maintained fairways, greens and tee boxes. The location offers a stunning view at many points of the dramatic surrounding landscape.
The exciting Championship layout brings into play a great deal of water, as it twists and turns through the terrain. The first two holes break you in quite gently but the drama really begins at the demanding 3rd, a dramatic drop par three. Here, from the elevated tee, the prospect is daunting – the tee shot must carry across a lake (some 60 feet below the tee) to a green that is 50 yards long! The action continues into the 4th, a snaking par 5 which features a stream, bank and rock face!
With many tricky driving holes and tough Par 3’s, Dartmouth Golf Club provides not only a challenge of golf for all standards but the ability to score and enjoy your time here. A firm favourite amongst our clients, one which many return to regularly. Great as a stay & play break or as an addition to an south-east Devon golf tour.
