Ferndown Golf Club is one of the South Wests premier golfing destinations, boasting 27-holes of stunning heathland golf that has hosted The Hennessy Cognac Cup, The European Ladies’ Championship and The Women’s British Open since it was established in 1913. This wonderful golfing venue is ranked inside the UK’s stop 100 courses in Golf Monthly and is the favourite course of golfing legend Peter Alliss.
Firstly is the fantastic Old Course, an intricate 18-hole heathland course designed by the 1892 and 1897 open champion Harold Hilton that will both challenge and delight players of all levels. This course always looks stunning and enjoys pristine Tee to Green grooming, often being compared to the world-famous Augusta. With its subtle hazards, well positioned bunkers and beautiful heathland settings, the Old Course will stimulate your senses and really hits the sweep spot of peace and tranquility. Additionally there is the Alliss course, designed in 1969, this challenging 9-hole course has a variety of tee positions offering 18 different starting points and is enjoyed by members and visitors alike.
