The Green Course at Frilford Heath may be the shortest course of the three on offer, but it is no pushover. This heathland design from the famous J H Taylor provides an experience from the outset with the opening par three inviting the golfer to attack the pin, a rare birdie opportunity perhaps.
The run of holes between 7 – 15 have retained their original design for nearly 90 years, and even though they are known as “the short 9” have a huge amount of charm and character.
Likened to many classical heathland golf courses, the Green Course is much more than a short, practice course alternative. Having recently played host to multiple national events as part of England Golf Week. A firm favourite with the members, this brilliant Oxfordshire golf course should not be missed out to any who visit.
