Course overview
The Stranahan course at The Players Golf Club is the second course on site at this well known golf resort situated north of Bristol.
A short par 68 at less than 5,500 yards, the course was built to encourage a quicker round of golf without compromising on quality and interest which often comes with a set up of this nature.
A good test with some interesting holes, this course starts in unique fashion with a 100 flick over water to an island green. The course is home to 6 interesting par 3’s of varying design and length and 3 par 5’s. Granted a much easiest test than the Championship Codrington, but a great complement to your golf tour if you are staying on site or nearby.
At the time of writing work is underway to lengthen the course, so no doubt the test will become sterner and the reputation of this cleverly designed golf course will only continue to improve.
