General questions
Who are Golf South West?
We are a brand new golf tour operator who specialise in booking your golf tour to Cornwall and the South West. We have spent time building relationships with our venues in order to bring you the best value and service when booking your trip. We hope that our service can take the stress and time out of booking your golf holiday… we might just save you some money too!
What deposits are required to secure my break?
To secure your break we require a minimum holding deposit of £15 per head (golfers & non-golfers). If your group size is over 11 you may put down a £150 holding deposit which will secure your tee times and rooms. You will then need to confirm numbers 4 weeks after this and pay your minimum £15 deposit per person. Full balance is due 6 weeks prior to travel.
Why is our deposit more than £15 per person?
Some venues or activities you may wish to pre book require additional deposits. We add these to your holding deposits so we can pass onto the venues to secure your booking.
When are final balances due?
Final balances must be paid 6 weeks prior to travel or at the time of booking if the booking is made inside 6 weeks of travel.
Can you hold my tee times without a deposit?
Afraid not. We require a deposit per person to hold tee times or rooms for you and your group. In the same regard tee times and availability given to you at the time of enquiry is subject to change, GSW can not be held responsible for changes in availability prior to confirming a booking. If you are concerned about this you could use our £150 holding deposit for a group of 11 or more.
Product questions
The golf course or hotel we would like to visit is not listed on GSW?
We are sorry! We have a wide selection of 18 hole golf courses and fantastic hotels available. We will always try to accommodate your requested hotel into your tour by speaking to the venue in question. However if this is not possible I am sure we can recommend a more than suitable alternative for you and your group. We always do everything in our power to make sure your tour is perfect for you!
Can GSW include a non-Cornish venue in our tour?
Absolutely! Please take a look at some of our non-Cornish venues on our Map and if the venue is not listed here, let us know and we can try our upmost to accommodate this venue into your package.
Transport questions
Do GSW packages include transport?
At the moment GSW packages do not include transport, but it is something we are looking into and are happy to try and accommodate transport requirements on a case by case basis.
Can we fly into Cornwall?
You can fly to Cornwall from airports around the UK, Ireland, Germany and Spain. Cornwall’s Newquay airport currently has year round daily flights from London Gatwick and Manchester. There are additional routes between March and October from Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Doncaster-Sheffield, Edinburgh, London Stansted, Newcastle, Dublin, Alicante, Frankfurt-Hahn and Dusseldorf.
Can we arrange transfers from Hotel to Golf Course and back?
At the moment GSW packages do not include transport, but it is something we are looking into and are happy to try and accommodate transport requirements on a case by case basis. Even if this is not included in the package we may be able to recommend a reputable transport company for the area which you are staying.
Which is the easiest route to Cornwall?
Provided you are travelling from North of Exeter finding the M5 South bound will be the easiest route. The M5 runs into the A38 which passes through Plymouth and across the Tamar Bridge (toll) into Cornwall’s Saltash. This is the best route to take if you are starting your tour on the East side of the county (St Mellion, Looe, China Fleet). If you are heading to Launceston, Padstow or South your best route would be to follow the M5 to Exeter and then follow signs onto the A30 towards Okehampton.
