Self-catering cottages beside Fistral Beach
The Headland Cottages form a private coastal village beside The Headland hotel and Fistral Beach in Newquay. Available with one, two or three bedrooms, they give golfers the privacy, living space and flexibility of self-catering accommodation without losing access to the facilities of a five-star hotel.
Each cottage has its own outlook and character. The collection includes front-row and sheltered sea-view cottages, village-view cottages, elevated rooftop sea-glance options and selected properties with a private hot tub. The accommodation section below sets out the differences between each category.
A prime base for Cornwall links golf
Newquay Golf Club is immediately beside The Headland, allowing guests to walk from their cottage to the first tee. Perranporth is a short drive along the coast, while Trevose and St Enodoc can be combined to create a high-quality North Cornwall links itinerary. Holywell Bay, West Cornwall and other Cornish courses can also be included in a longer tour.
The cottages are particularly well suited to groups who want shared living space and more independence than adjoining hotel rooms. They also work well for longer stays, mixed groups and golfers travelling with non-playing partners or family.
Spa, pools and hotel dining included
Cottage guests receive unlimited use of The Headland’s five-bubble Spa, gym and six-pool AquaClub. These facilities provide plenty of choice after golf, from swimming and hydrotherapy to sauna, steam and relaxation areas overlooking the Atlantic.
Guests can self-cater or use the hotel’s restaurants and bars. Current dining choices include RenMor, The Deck, the Spa Lounge and Ugly Butterfly by Adam Handling, giving groups the option to mix relaxed meals with a more special evening during the trip.
Space, flexibility and a coastal setting
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottages, and many properties are dog friendly with advance notice and an additional charge. Fistral Beach and the South West Coast Path are on the doorstep, while Newquay town centre is close enough for additional restaurants, bars and evening entertainment.
For golf groups, the attraction is simple: one of Cornwall’s best-known links courses next door, several more within easy reach, generous shared accommodation and full access to some of the region’s strongest hotel leisure facilities.
