Course overview

Burnham & Berrow Golf Club is a 27-hole members golf club in Somerset that has hosted many of the leading amateur golf tournaments in Britain, including the The Brabazon Trophy and The English Amateur. Part of the Atlantic links network, Burnham houses 27 holes of golf across the par 71 (6925 yard) Championship course and 9 hole, 18 tee Channel Course. The traditional links tracks 9 holes along the coastline and 9 back to the clubhouse. The wind is more than capable of swirling on the links meaning no two rounds are ever the same at this breath taking course.

From the moment you arrive at the clubhouse in the shadow of the Burnham lighthouse its evident you are stepping into a club littered with a vast history of amateur golf. Winners around this great course include famous names such as a Mr J Rose. Somerset is known for the quality of its courses in the area but Burnham and Berrow is widely regarded as head and shoulders above the rest. With many fairways and greens overlooked by sand dunes, Burnham and Berrow is the south west’s answer to Royal Birkdale and is now widely thought to be one of England’s finest links courses in the South West of England. Burnham & Berrow is the most northerly of the Atlantic Links courses and is often played alongside the Saunton golf courses during a tour.

Alternatively, Burnham is ideally located near Weston Super Mare and with an excellent links course in its own right is a great tour combination. Looking for something more bespoke? Fill out the enquiry form below.

Saunton Golf Club, Devon is one of the South West’s finest golfing destinations in the UK with both its links regularly ranking in the UK top 100. Golf has been played over this undulating links landscape just south of Croyde in Devon for nearly 120 years.

The highly regarded East course was formed in the 1920s via the design of Herbert Fowler, who also created the wonderful 36-hole layouts at Walton Heath and The Berkshire. The East has been tipped as a possible Open Host and ranks inside the top 15 in the UK top courses list. The younger West course was opened in the 1930s but after a long period of dormancy, was revived and reopened in 1975.

This course plays second fiddle to the East in some sense, however is still one of the UK’s best links. Ranking regularly in the top 100 UK courses, the West is one of the South West golfing gems and is seen as quite the test.

You’ll find yourself tackling the elements that come with links golf along with a host of burns, streams and dunes. Accuracy is essential around the Saunton Golf Courses, or you may be climbing and searching the many sand banks for wayward golf balls. Brilliantly designed links with a wide variety of holes.

North Devon is one of our most popular destinations. We have a host of hotels in the area to choose from and the Saunton courses can be paired with nearby Royal North Devon and Ilfracombe for a true North Devon Coastal Experience.

A rolling links course offering stunning views of the Taw & Torridge Estuary and the Atlantic Ocean and a venue of real historical importance. Part of the Atlantic links network, Royal North Devon provides golfers with a true traditional links test.

The Championship course stretches out over 7,000 yards and provides a stiff test for golfers, especially when the wind blows! Ideally located in Westward Ho! near Bideford and an integral piece in North Devon’s sterling golfing reputation. Royal North Devon is as traditional a links course as you will find. Rolling fairways and bunker-protected greens, along with seaside golf makes this a course you will never forget.

Ranked in the “Top 100 courses a golfer must play in the World”, RND is simply one of the UK’s, not just the South West’s, best-golfing destinations.

Are you looking for a links resort golf break? Trevose Golf Club is very likely the answer for your next golf trip! One of the finest Links courses in the UK, designed by Harry Colt of Augusta National, Pine Valley, Sunningdale, Royal Portrush and Muirfield fame. It is no surprise that Trevose is one of the most popular golfing destinations in the South West of England. Trevose Golf Club provides breathtaking links golf at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

As with all true links the wind is always a major factor and means that no two days are ever the same at this magnificent course. The location means that golf is on offer 12 months of the year and condition is maintained to the highest possible standard. This has lead to Trevose being selected to host some major events in recent years including The Brabazon Trophy (2008), The McGregor Trophy (2012) and the English Men’s County Finals (2017). Away from the Championship course, Trevose offers a different challenge in the way of the Headland course. Measuring just over 3000 yards the headland course provides a thrilling 9 holes of golf including a truly unique view awaiting you upon your arrival at the 5th green!

The final piece of the jigsaw at Trevose is The Short Course set around the Chapel of St Constantine’s. This par 3/4 course will allow the less experienced golfer to enjoy the delights of Trevose without fighting around the 7000+ yard Championship course. The Short Course is also regularly used by experienced players looking to hone their short game before the main event. Trevose is perfect as a stand-alone golf resort or as a base for an unforgettable North Cornwall golf tour.

Officially the 87th best golf course in the World, 28th in the UK, 11th in England and #1 in Cornwall. St Enodoc Golf Club is a links course of perfection situated on the northern Cornish coast, boasting spectacular views overlooking the River Camel and outwards into the Atlantic Ocean.
The fact you are reading this means you may be interested in a golf break including Cornwall’s golf jewel. Each hole feels unique due to the undulating terrain and tight fairways.

Courage, accuracy and concentration is a must if players want to make a good score. The latter can, however, prove a little tricky as you look out across the stunning Camel Estuary at Padstow and the Atlantic Ocean from your perfectly manicured location.

Based in Rock, the Golf Club is easily accessible from Padstow, Newquay, Bude, Truro, Bodmin, Saltash & Launceston. If you want to play the best of the best during your stay in Cornwall, then St Enodoc is a must!
