Officially the 87th best golf course in the World, 28th in the UK, 11th in England and #1 in Cornwall. St Enodoc Golf Club is a links course of perfection situated on the northern Cornish coast, boasting spectacular views overlooking the River Camel and outwards into the Atlantic Ocean.
The fact you are reading this means you may be interested in a golf break including Cornwall’s golf jewel. Each hole feels unique due to the undulating terrain and tight fairways.

Courage, accuracy and concentration is a must if players want to make a good score. The latter can, however, prove a little tricky as you look out across the stunning Camel Estuary at Padstow and the Atlantic Ocean from your perfectly manicured location.

Based in Rock, the Golf Club is easily accessible from Padstow, Newquay, Bude, Truro, Bodmin, Saltash & Launceston. If you want to play the best of the best during your stay in Cornwall, then St Enodoc is a must!

Course overview

Perranporth Golf Club was designed by famous course architect James Braid and is located on the rugged cliffs above the beaches of Perranporth. This wonderfully constructed links ranks inside the top 100 courses in the UK and is one of the South West’s foremost golfing destinations.

Forever the bridesmaid to its better known Atlantic neighbours (Trevose & St Enodoc), Perranporth has been called the South West’s hidden gem. In more recent years it is however rightfully receiving the accolades it deserves, moving up to a ranking of 2nd in Cornwall and 62nd in England.

Perranporth Golf Club is full of natural contours, which means each hole is a unique experience. This 6296 yard, par 72 with its undulating fairways, lightning-fast greens and picturesque backdrops, provide an exciting challenge for players of all standards. If you are heading anyway near Padstow, Newquay, or Truro during your time in Cornwall, you simply must take a trip over to Budnic Hill and Perranporth Golf Club.

We recommend staying in a Newquay hotel, on-site at Perranporth, at Gwel an Mor Luxury Lodges or in Truro for your golf break.

Are you looking for a links resort golf break? Trevose Golf Club is very likely the answer for your next golf trip! One of the finest Links courses in the UK, designed by Harry Colt of Augusta National, Pine Valley, Sunningdale, Royal Portrush and Muirfield fame. It is no surprise that Trevose is one of the most popular golfing destinations in the South West of England. Trevose Golf Club provides breathtaking links golf at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

As with all true links the wind is always a major factor and means that no two days are ever the same at this magnificent course. The location means that golf is on offer 12 months of the year and condition is maintained to the highest possible standard. This has lead to Trevose being selected to host some major events in recent years including The Brabazon Trophy (2008), The McGregor Trophy (2012) and the English Men’s County Finals (2017). Away from the Championship course, Trevose offers a different challenge in the way of the Headland course. Measuring just over 3000 yards the headland course provides a thrilling 9 holes of golf including a truly unique view awaiting you upon your arrival at the 5th green!

The final piece of the jigsaw at Trevose is The Short Course set around the Chapel of St Constantine’s. This par 3/4 course will allow the less experienced golfer to enjoy the delights of Trevose without fighting around the 7000+ yard Championship course. The Short Course is also regularly used by experienced players looking to hone their short game before the main event. Trevose is perfect as a stand-alone golf resort or as a base for an unforgettable North Cornwall golf tour.

Course overview

Lying in the heart of Cornwall, Newquay Golf Club is a scenic 18 hole course with wonderful views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This links course will suit beginners and serious golfers alike and due to its location Newquay generally offers golfers quality all year round.

There is no shortage of accommodation options within walking distance of the course and it is situated just a short stroll from the main town. The Clubhouse sits high at the top of the golf course, where the 1st tee, 11th green & 18 green all meet.

Although the course doesn’t appear to be spread out, the design gives you plenty of room between holes! A fair test but the wind can ruin any scorecard. What to look out for – The views are fantastic, even if your game isn’t at it’s best, you won’t have a sad face in the group.

Feature hole – Personally, the par 5, 8th hole is a great test, watch out for that lone bunker in the fairway, it gobbles up more drives than you think. Newquay will quite often be the staple of any golf tour!
