The Bath Golf Tour is a fantastic 2 night, 3 round tour that sees golfers stay at the Limpley Stoke Hotel in the historic city of Bath. The 3 rounds of the tour include Cumberwell, a round at Bath’s own course and a final round at Kingsdown.

The Limpley Stoke Golf Tour takes golfers to the heart of Somerset to the historic and beautiful city of Bath. Accommodation for this tour comes in the shape of the Limpley Stoke Hotel, a stunning hotel set in a delightful village just outside Bath and nestled within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The hotel combines quality accommodation, friendly attentive service and a warm west country welcome.

The first course to talk about is Cumberwell Park Golf Club, opened in 1994 and now recognised as one of the finest courses in the South West this course was awarded 4 stars by Golf World’s Top Courses in Britain. In 2018 they played host to the South West Counties Championship, which is arguably the biggest County event in England. The natural contours of the Wiltshire countryside shape the holes that span over 400 acres, including 39 acres of woodland, 9 lakes and many free flowing streams.

Next is Bath Golf Club, an 18 hole, par 71 (6464 yard) parkland course that is ranked #2 in Somerset. Although the course is not particularly lengthy, the designers certainly knew how to use the natural contours of the hilltop location to create a challenging round of golf. The course has a variety of different holes laid out over some of the finest golfing country in all of Somerset. Shallow soil and limestone ensure quick draining, meaning the course can be kept in superb condition most of the year round.

A final round will be played at Kingsdown Golf Club, a 6501-yard par 69 parkland course that offers a challenging test in a beautiful setting. The course is excellently kept and is a delight to play at any time of the year, thanks to its fantastic drainage. Take in the beautiful scenery while enjoying a challenging day of golf. The course was founded in 1880 and is the second oldest course in the west of England and a must visit for golfers in the area.

Cumberwell Park Golf Club is a fantastic golfing venue set in 400 acres of the beautiful surroundings of the Wiltshire countryside, and boasts acres of woodland, 9 lakes and free flowing streams. This venue is Wiltshire’s only 45-hole course, with the original 18-hole course being joined by 2 9-hole courses and a 9 hole par-3 course. Another par-3 course is on the way too! Cumberwell Park Golf Club opened in 1994 and is now recognised as one of the finest courses in the South West and was awarded 4 stars by Golf World’s Top Courses in Britain. In 2018 they played host to the South West Counties Championship, which is arguably the biggest County event in England.

Each year Cumberwell Park host a Europro Tour event and general the entries overflow for this popular event. The natural contours of the Wiltshire countryside shape the holes that span over 400 acres, including 39 acres of woodland, 9 lakes and many free flowing streams. Bath Golf Club, Somerset is an 18 hole, par 71 (6,464 yard) parkland course that is ranked #2 in Somerset. Although the course is not particularly lengthy, the designers certainly knew how to use the natural contours of the hilltop location to create a challenging round of golf.

Shallow soil and limestone ensure quick draining, meaning the course can be kept in superb condition most of the year-round. The greens at Bath are particularly small and many contain borrows, making putting at this course a quite unique challenge, one that catches out many an overconfident player.
