Hotel overview

The newly refurbished Holiday Inn in Bournemouth is an ideal base for your Bournemouth golf tour. Located centrally, just 10 minutes walk to the town and beach, the hotel offers secure parking and is within half-hour of the major golf courses in the region. The hotel features 113 guestrooms including some with views of the sea. These new rooms are contemporary, bright and comfortable with offerings of double, single and family layouts.

All rooms come with Wi-Fi, 43″ TV’s, a power shower and tea/coffee making facilities. All of the rooms have been completely refitted meaning the rooms feels fresh and new! Standard Room

All standard rooms at the Holiday Inn Bournemouth have recently been refurbished to the highest standard, with new carpets, furnishings and luxury bed linens. These rooms can be made up as either a double or twin and feature air conditioning, walk-in power shower, black out curtains and a 43' TV complete with freeview.

As with the standard rooms, all of the executive rooms have recently been refurbished to the highest standard, with new carpets, furnishings and luxury bed linens. These rooms can be made up as either a double or twin and boast all the same features as the standard rooms with the addition of a sofa, mini-fridge with complimentary drinks & snacks , luxurious bathrobe and slippers and enhanced selection of complimentary toiletries.

Family Room

Family rooms offer the same facilities as the standard rooms but with far more space for you and your family. Rooms can be made up as either a double or twin bed setup and in addition has a sofa bed suitable for children. As with the standard and executive rooms, all family rooms recently underwent significant refurbishment, creating a comfortable and spacious room that has all the facilities you and your family need.

Ferndown Golf Club is one of the South Wests premier golfing destinations, boasting 27-holes of stunning heathland golf that has hosted The Hennessy Cognac Cup, The European Ladies’ Championship and The Women’s British Open since it was established in 1913. This wonderful golfiBroadng venue is ranked inside the UK’s stop 100 courses in Golf Monthly and is the favourite course of golfing legend Peter Alliss. Firstly is the fantastic Old Course, an intricate 18-hole heathland course designed by the 1892 and 1897 open champion Harold Hilton that will both challenge and delight players of all levels. This course always looks stunning and enjoys pristine Tee to Green grooming, often being compared to the world-famous Augusta. With its subtle hazards, well positioned bunkers and beautiful heathland settings, the Old Course will stimulate your senses and really hits the sweep spot of peace and tranquility.

Additionally there is the Alliss course, designed in 1969, this challenging 9-hole course has a variety of tee positions offering 18 different starting points and is enjoyed by members and visitors alike. Parkstone Golf Club is one of Dorset’s premier Heathland courses and makes up 1 of Bournemouth’s “big 3” courses, alongside Ferndown and Broadstone. The course has been ranked inside the top 100 courses in Britain by both Golf Monthly and Golf World Magazines, boasting mature heathland surroundings filled with lakes, mature pines and a wide variety of wildlife, alongside stunning views over Poole Harder and out towards the Isle of Purbeck.

Parkstone Golf Club is a delightful course located on a beautiful sandy tract of undulating Heathland, many of the fairways are lined with old pines and heather which become even more beautiful in springtime when the rhododendrons bloom, and the greens are immaculately kept and tricky to read. The location of the course means that it enjoys all the characteristics of Heathland golf with links influences from its seaside location, and when these are combined it creates a unique golfing experience that you wont easily forget.

The golf at Parkstone is more than just the serene surroundings, it poses a varied challenge that uses all the natural contours, heather and pines to create a course that requires accurate shots and tactical approaches, as is the case with any course that has a James Braid influence. Although the course measures quite short at 6,300 yards it is sufficiently challenging for golfers of all levels and everyone that visits Parkstone walks away with incredible memories.

Remedy Oak Golf Club is a stunning 18 hole par-72 course set amongst 256 acres of ancient woodland in the heart of Dorset and is ranked #2 in the county on top100golfcourses.com.

This majestic parkland course stretches 7100 yards as it meanders through beautiful Dorset countryside filled with hardwood trees, rhododendrons, heather, wild grasses and water that comes into play on eight of the holes.
