Overview
A Truro golf break offers you the opportunity to enjoy both parkland and links golf, with Tehidy Park and Perranporth offering 36 holes of golf in two stunning locations. The County Arms offer comfortable rooms in a Victorian style building, with seasonal food sourced locally.
Perranporth Golf Club, designed by famous course architect James Braid is located on the rugged cliffs above the beaches of Perranporth. This wonderfully constructed links ranks inside the top 100 courses in the UK and is one of the South West’s foremost golfing destinations. Full of natural contours that give each hole a unique feel, there are no less than 16 marker posts across the course meaning course planner for your first visit is advisable! The 6296 yard, par 72 with its undulating fairways, lightning fast greens and picturesque backdrops, provides an exciting challenge for beginners and experienced players alike.
The second leg of the tour takes you to Tehidy Park Golf Club a traditional, well maintained, 18 hole, par 71 parkland golf course, set in beautiful countryside just west of Redruth and very close to Portreath beach. This traditional parkland golf course features a mix of streams, ponds and tree-lined fairways putting a premium on accuracy. Despite its length (a little over 6200 yards), good scoring requires some solid golf.
At night enjoy the comfort of the County Arms. Sitting proudly on the edge of Wandsworth Common, the grand Victorian building is steeped in history and welcomes you with open arms. Sit in a cosy snug in front of a roaring fire or relax in the covered heated garden.
This tour offers comfortable accommodation in the heart of Truro, whilst giving you variety on the course, with both links and parkland golf to enjoy.
