The Walton Castle Golf Tour is a fantastic 2 night 3 round tour that explores some of Somerset’s must play courses while staying in tranquil and charming surroundings of the Walton Park Hotel in Clevedon, an ideally located town in Somerset that sits on the banks of the Severn Estuary and is just a short drive from the seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare.

This well-established course celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2016 and has earned itself a reputation as one of the best courses in the County. Set up high with fantastic views of the Bristol Channel and the surrounding Somerset countryside, the par 72 course provides an excellent test for all golfers and extends out to a length of 6557 yards. The course has been situated upon the old castle farm since 1898 and boasts a fantastically well-kept course in stunning surroundings.

Mendip Spring Golf Club is nestled in the beautiful North Somerset countryside and is considered to be one of the South Wests leading golf courses. The par 71 Brinsea championship course has water hazards, long par 5’s, tricky par 3’s and an interesting mix of par 4’s, topped off with immaculately kept greens that are true throughout the season. When all these characteristics are combined, you get a course that is a delight to play and offers a thorough challenge of a golfers skill.

Set up high with fantastic views of the Bristol Channel and the surrounding Somerset countryside, the par 72 course provides an excellent test for all golfers and extends out to a length of 6,557 yards. The course has been situated upon the old castle farm since 1898 and boasts a fantastically well-kept course in stunning surroundings. During the early 90’s the course underwent some considerable changes, with the introduction of 5 new holes, and the installation of 18 U.S.G.A. specifications greens.

Clevedon Golf Club is the most northern of our Somerset Coastline Golf Tour courses. If you are planning to visit the area, we strongly suggest adding this wonderful course to your Somerset golf break!

Mendip Spring Golf Club is nestled in the beautiful North Somerset countryside and is considered to be one of the South Wests leading golf courses.

The par 71 Brinsea championship course has water hazards, long par 5’s, tricky par 3’s and an interesting mix of par 4’s, topped off with immaculately kept greens that are true throughout the season. When all these characteristics are combined, you get a course that is a delight to play and offers a thorough challenge of a golfers skill.

The clubhouse at Mendip Spring is centred around an original 16th-century farmhouse and has been tastefully developed to be welcoming and full of character, whilst still providing a comprehensive bar, restaurant and accommodation facilities.

Lying in the Wrington Valley and overlooked by the Mendip Hills, this course is nestled away in one of the most beautiful parts of North Somerset, just a stones throw away from the Mendip Hills area of outstanding natural beauty and a few miles from the coastal town of Weston-super-Mare, this course is ideally located for a relaxing weekend away

Tall Pines Golf Club is a wonderful parkland course that first opened in 1989, set on rolling parkland hills that boast beautiful views across the Bristol Channel into Wales. The course offers a challenging round of golf regardless of handicap and provides a unique experience that will make you want to play again and again.

Located just 8 miles from Bristol City Centre and is an easily accessible course that offers a friendly environment and fantastic parkland golf, making it a perfect addition to your Somerset golf break. The course consists of five par-3s, three par-5s and ten par 4s and consists of many unique holes that use the natural rolling parkland to create challenging tee shots and fast rolling greens and fairways. The location of the club, just outside the city of Bristol, means that there are many nearby accommodation options and other fantastic courses to visit, Mendip Spring Golf Club and Worlebury Golf Club are just a few of many that can be combined to make a fantastic golf break in North Somerset.

  • How do GSW keep money safe?

    We are extremely proud of the service we provide and a large part of this is ensuring our client’s money is safe. Our practices comply with the 2018 package travel directive meaning that your money is safe with both ourselves and the venues your choose to visit.

    The money for your golf break is paid into a trust account run by an independent partner, so you have peace of mind that no matter what happens, your money is being looked after.

  • What happens if we can’t go on our planned trip?

    Deposits are non-refundable, but they are transferable to a new date or break. We aim to be as flexible as possible and will treat each situation on a case by case basis.

  • Can we make changes to our break?

    Managing a group can be a thankless task and changes to the group leading up to your break are an accepted element. We make changes as stress free as possible (just see our reviews for evidence of this!). Changes can be made up to 6 weeks prior to your break. Some changes are unavoidable so for legitimate reasons we will endeavour to make last minute changes after this period, but as we would have paid our venues at this point, this would be at the discretion of the venue(s) you are visiting.
