Bovey Castle has five Red Stars from the AA for exceptional hospitality – the highest accolade awarded by the AA and given to only the most outstanding hotels. First opened as a hotel and golf resort in 1930 by Great Western Railways, Bovey Castle hotel and spa is now enjoyed by guests who fall in love with its imposing charm. Standing within 275 acres of beautiful countryside within Devon’s Dartmoor National Park, the hotel offers 60 bedrooms along with 22 self-catering country lodges tucked away within the grounds. There’s also two dining options, Smith’s Brasserie for a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere or The Great Western Restaurant for fine dining, along with the luxurious Elan Spa and our award-winning 18-hole championship golf course, designed for Bovey Castle by J F Abercromby.
Originally designed to rival its sister courses Gleneagles and Turnberry, this course offers a golfing experience never to be forgotten. The course itself offers an exhilarating and challenging golfing experience, offering players a pure golfing challenge that meanders through the hotel estate, all the while surrounded by stunning Cornish landscapes.
Bovey Castle is located within the magnificent Dartmoor National Park and the newly fashioned course can play at up to 6600 yards, with a picturesque front nine that will be sure to create memorable moments.
Bovey Castle also offers a fully-equipped club house, modern driving range, and the Smith’s brasserie for post round drinks & snacks.
