Golf at Carden Park comes in the shape of 2 championship courses, The Cheshire & The Nicklaus, each expertly designed to offer visitors a variety of challenges across both courses, all while winding it’s way through the stunning estate. The first of these, The Cheshire, is located towards the rear of the estate and is perfectly situated to enjoy views of the estate and out to the Welsh hills. The many bunkers dotted around have been designed to flow with the contours of the land, accuracy will be key for avoiding these dangerous traps, while the fairways are often lined with mature woodland ready to swallow up any wayward shots. The course finishes on a real high with the 18th hole being set upon a cliff that overlooks the whole estate, a breathtaking view that is the perfect way to finish the round. The Nicklaus course, designed by the man himself, winds it’s way around the front of the estate next to the vineyard and is a challenging course full of well placed hazards that will require a variety of strategic decisions to navigate, quite uniquely the 7th and 15th holes offer a variety of fairways from which to approach the green from, while the 16th hole is perfect for an in-group closest to the pin competition. Enjoying the same stunning views of the Welsh hills, The Nicklaus and The Cheshire courses are intricately designed courses that enjoy stunning surroundings, a round at Carden Park is the perfect way to escape from the daily stresses.
