The Ashbury Golf Resort is the largest golf resort in England, nestled on the edge of the beautiful Dartmoor National Park, this fantastic resort strives to maintain a quality experience for golfers all year round, helped by it’s exceptionally maintained courses. Set in the heart of Devon, The Manor House and Ashbury Hotels offer a break like no other. Boasting two hotels located just 2 miles apart, the resort offers an outstanding choice of over 70 different sport, craft, leisure and spa activities. All guests are welcome to use the facilities at either hotel throughout the duration of their stay, offering even more opportunity to take part in activities.
The Ashbury Golf Resort features an incredible 103 holes of golf across 6 separate courses, starting with Kigbeare, a 6528 yrd par-72 parkland course that boasts far reaching views across the Devonshire countryside. The course features rolling fairways, large undulating greens, strategically placed bunkers and numerous water hazards that create a course that rewards risk takers.
The Pines is a 6400 yard par-72 parkland course that features a front nine filled with wide fairways and gentle slopes, giving golfers the opportunity to post a good score, while the back nine is filled with tree-lined fairways that require accuracy to maintain that good score.
On the more casual side is the Beeches course, measuring significantly shorter than the resorts two feature courses, this idyllic course runs 5671 yards through stunning mature woodland while enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The feature hole of the course is the 3rd, with a triple tier fairways that drops 180 feet from tee to green.
The last of the 18-hole courses on offer at the resort is the Oakwood, boasting incredible views out across Dartmoor National Park, Oakwood is a course that should not be underestimated despite it’s short length. With it’s well positioned ponds and bunkers providing opportunities for risk & reward style play, this is very much a thinking golfers course and perfectly compliments the other 3 courses.
